During the last two seasons he has been a coach on the McLean American 10U and 11U All-Star team, including one District Championship in two championship game appearances.
Matt’s focus is on developing proper basketball fundamentals, thorough preparation, conditioning, and generating on court awareness, or basketball IQ. Players will be taught the reasons for their on-court actions so that when situations arise during games they’re prepared to execute efficiently and able to adjust and adapt their games based on changing circumstances. Practices will be physically demanding so that the games are easier. The driving overall theme is the importance of teamwork and comradery.
Matt has loved basketball since he can remember and grew up on the sidelines watching his Dad coach the GWU Colonials. Matt lives in McLean with his wife Cristina (former Junior Olympic basketball player) and their 3 boys, aged 11, 9 and 6.
